The Silver Lake community celebrated Karla Bahret’s 20-years on staff at the Silver Lake Public Library. The celebration was held Monday, January 18th from 4-6 pm at the Silver Lake Library.  The library was closed the day for the Martin  Luther King holiday, but open for Karla’s party.

Silver Lake Public Library Board President, Cindy Hamilton, gives Karla a photo taken at here open house and a gift certificate from the board. The awards were made at the May 27 Summer Reading Program kick-off at the library.

Many people know Karla from her cheerful presence at the library or have seen her riding around Silver Lake on her three-wheeled bike.  She has been a faithful worker, not only at the library, but also in her church and community.

Many stopped in to say “hi”  to Karla and enjoyed refreshments Including a special cake baked for the event.
