The Annual Book Sale is a major fund raiser, with proceeds going toward the Summer Reading Program. The book sale is traditionally held the Friday and Saturday after Labor Day during the city wide garage sale. The 2016 sale will be September 9 & 10. There is an on-going Book Sale Shelf in the Library.
Funds raised by FoSLL are used to supplement the Library budget and help provide library programs and services to the Silver Lake Community. They are a major sponsor of the Summer Reading Program and the William Allen White Book Club. FoSLL made donations to the Library Expansion & Renovation Project of $1,000 in 2014 & 2015.
Meetings are held twice a year – the 1st Monday March and August. As a member you will receive half price copy, computer print-out & fax fees. Memberships are $10 for family and $15 or more for Sustaining Membership annually. The next meeting is August 1, 2016, 7:00 pm.
