Lori Clark, Trustee

Lori is employed with the State of Kansas for 27 years.  She is married to John Clark, who is a 3rd Generation Farmer in Silver Lake. They have two children: Joey (20), attending KSU and Bradly (13),  8th grade.

Lori’s favorite movie, is any movie with Sandra Bullock.  Her favorite candy is Hershey’s miniatures, minus the Krackel bars! Her favorite color is any hue of blue. Her favorite flowers are Carnations and Sunflowers.  In her spare time, Lori used to craft and sew.  “SomedayI hope to get back to it!!”




Georgia Ransone, Silver Lake Township Trustee

  • Born in Louisiana, moved to Kansas after high school
  •  Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Washburn University
  • taught 6th grade Silver Lake USD 372 for 33 years
  • appointed Trustee of Silver Lake Township in Dec. 2017 – also serve on Boards of Silver Lake Public Library, Shawnee County Fire District #1, and Silver Lake Library Foundation
  •  married with 3 children and 10 grandchildren
  • interests:  gardening & environmental conservation
  • volunteer work – live news broadcasts for Audio Reader



Tiffany Fisher, Vice president

Tiffany  joined the Silver Lake Library Board of Trustees in May 2019.  She is the Executive Director for the Topeka Bar Association.  Tiffany and her family have called Silver Lake home since 2011.

“When our family first moved to Silver Lake, I was beyond thrilled to find the Silver Lake Library.  It is the gem of our small community.  At the time, we had a preschooler and an elementary-age child.  We loved the programs the library offers.  The programs they provide for all ages is another great opportunity to strengthen our family’s love of books and reading.”


Barbara Bahm, Treasurer

Barbara has lived in Silver Lake since 1999.  She was a classroom teacher from 1979 to 1986 and a school librarian from 1987 to 2017.

She has been a reader all her life.  Favorite books throughout her life: The Outsiders by Hinton, A Wrinkle in Time by L’Engle, Orbiting Jupiter by Schmidt, Maximum Ride series by Patterson, Memoirs of a Goldfish by Scillian.  Favorite authors: Kay Hooper and Diana Palmer.

Barbara currently works for Kansas State Department of Education.


Rachel Hunt, Secretary

Rachel Hunt grew up in Silver Lake.  She attended school here and volunteered at the library when she was old enough. Currently, she teaches sixth grade at Silver Lake Grade School and loves seeing students use the library. She has been serving on the board since 2016.   Rachel also serves on the Library Foundation. “The library is an important resource for students and the community. I hope to see continued improvements to the library for future use.”
