Items will be sent to Operation Gratitude at the end of October.
“Operation Gratitude seeks to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the U.S. Military and First Responder communities and provide volunteer opportunities for Americans to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation. “ Click on the logo to visit Operation Gratitude website.
Do you have knitting or crocheting skills? Would you like to learn? Jill Burton will be on hand during some Farmers Markets and can help you!
Not interested in knitting? Then help us write letters and notes of appreciation. Supplies will be provided.
This is an ongoing project until early fall. By the end of the summer, we hope to have several items to send to Operation Gratitude that will “tell our heroes ‘WE CARE!’”
Let us know if you would like to participate.
